Works consisted of the extension of an existing unsurfaced car park at AthyTrain Station Co Kildare.The job involved the construction of 89 car spaces and 4 mobility impaired spaces.Works included, drainage, electrical ducting, lamp post installation, fencing, macadam and line painting. Works were phased to accommodate the continued opening of the existing carpark. The majority of the works were carried out from within a hoarding line and there was no works which directly affected carpark operations. Extensive drainage was required which involved an attenuation tank, hydro-brake and a full retention petrol interceptor before discharge to council sewer.
