This project consisted of the construction of new IDA Advance Factory 27000 sq ft in area. the works included all associated services, roads, car parks and as well as specific requirements, such as specialized plant rooms and new office space for intended occupant.
Further to this a 40,000 sq ft extension to existing factory was undertaken a few years later including fit-out to Client’s specification.
The extension to existing factory premises consisted of structural steel frame erection, curtain walling and glazing, including 3 nr. loading bays with dock levelers and all services including new gas mains, water-ring mains, sewerage and storm water with petrol interceptor as well as an extensive concrete yard and a new concrete mezzanine area internally. The works also involved a full new mechanical and electrical installation fit-out.
Operations in existing part of factory had to be maintained at all times; structural tie-n and mechanical and electrical tie-in’s occurred during a 10 day shut-down.
The company also carried out a fit-out of the new extension complete with alterations to the existing building as a separate package. This included substantial mechanical (heating, sanitary ware, compressed air and chilled water) and electrical sub-contract packages. Extension of existing steel gantry, new fire roller shutter door and high speed Mavarol door. Creation of new office areas and maintenance room with a floor mounted gantry. Alterations to existing offices using Excalibur partitioning. Extensive upgrade to all existing painting.
